Sara Gilbert, 39, a Jewish lesbian best known for role on “Roseanne” is also now a costar on “The Talk.” About a year ago, she shared the news that her girlfriend, 4 Non-Blondes hitmaker Linda Perry, 48, had popped the question in a super romantic way, during a picnic:
“It’s like the most amazing proposal ever. I’m sitting there listening and I’m kind of daydreaming and I’m thinking like, ‘If I ever proposed to her this would be an amazing way to do it.’ The people picnicking next to us pull out string instruments from under the blanket, walk over and they start playing [The Cure’s] Lovesong.”
Their romantic ceremony too place on Sunday, March 30 during sunset overlooking the ocean. Celebrities in attendance included Juliette Lewis, Aisha Taylor and Julie Chen. The pair is enjoying a weeklong honeymoon.
In addition to her hit “What’s Going On?,” Perry has penned hits for Pink, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani and others.
Perry and Gilbert started dating in 2011 after Gilbert’s split from TV producer Alison Adler with whom she shares two children, son, Levi, 9, and daughter, Sawyer, 6.
